Product Description
If you thought Tinseltown was tough... Tori Spelling might have grown up with everything a girl could wish for, but these days she's just another suburban working mom...whose toddler regularly recognizes her in the pages of Us Weekly. Welcome to Mommywood, where the stars are two feet tall and your neighbors know who you are before you move in. Like most parents, Tori wants her children to have the one thing she didn't have as a kid -- a normal family. On their hit Oxygen reality show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, the starlet and her husband Dean McDermott regularly wrestle dirty diapers, host the neighborhood block party, and tackle temper tantrums on the red carpet. But when the cameras aren't rolling, Tori's still having awkward run-ins with a former 90210 costar at a laser tag birthday party, scooping rogue poo out of the kiddie pool on a resort vacation, and racing to win back her pre-baby body before the media starts calling her fat. For all her suburban fantasies, Tori Spelling is no June Cleaver. With the same down-to-earth wit that made her entertaining memoir sTORI telling a #1 New York Times bestseller, Tori tells the hilarious and humbling stories of life as a mom in the limelight. From learning to be the kind of parent her own mother never was to revealing what it's like to raise a family while everyone is watching, Mommywood is an irresistible snapshot of celebrity parenthood that you won't get from the paparazzi.

loved it! August 30, 2010 grios I loved reading this book. I am a huge Tori Spelling fan as it is and have read her first book Stori Telling, which was very entertaining, but this book was fun and surprisingly relatable. I recently had my first child and it's so refreshing to know that we moms have the same fears and feelings, whether we're regular working class or living in hollywood! Tori's stories are real and true to life...a great read!
great read August 25, 2010 Robin Krasny (FLORIDA) All Tori's books are funny, honest, and interesting glimpses into her life from her point of view- from the inside out not the outside in. An easy read you are sorry when it ends.
If you skip the "poor me, My Mom is/was awful" its not bad August 20, 2010 looking for the perfect book Ugh. Was really hoping to like this & in times it was cute & even funny. Without the incessant bashing of her own Mother & anyone else she doesn't like I actually would have liked this book much more. She really doesn't need to keep rehashing her gripes, hoping she moves on because she seems to actually be a good writer, but maybe that sells more books.
Very breezy read August 19, 2010 kentuxky It was a personal view on what life is like under a magnifying glass (aka hollywood) it was entertaining and funny and her personality and quirks shine through on every dicision that she makes. I liked it :)
A lot of people didn't like it because it wasn't a "gossip" column. This was her story on what her life is like day to day.
Light & Enjoyable August 10, 2010 Happy Buddha Tori Spelling has an engaging, light hearted writing style which is easy to read. The book chapters have a great sense of flow and cohesion which takes you the reader on a journey in each chapter. Spelling engages the reader, describing situations and environments well, including how she feels in these situations which is heart warming and allows you to connect with her as a person rather than a celebrity. She is truthful and honest to a fault, suprisingly so, rather than manufacturing a false sense of airs and graces and portraying a hard to live up to perfectionism. Spelling is refreshing and funny and an incredibly hard working Mum who I found inspiring.
