Best calendar for busy family of 5 November 30, 2008 Madame Butterfly (South Dakota) I have the 07-08 version of this calendar and it was the best calendar purchase ever. Works very well for our family of 2 adults/3 kids. I love the magnet and keep it right on the fridge where everyone can see it. Have not had any problems with the magnet holding, despite the fact that I keep several papers in the front pocket. The space to write for each is not big, but I have found with a "code" system I can easily write more than one apt. for each. We use TKD for tae kwon do, SWM for swim lessons, etc. Great purchase.
Too small and not good if you have more than one appointment on a given day... November 16, 2008 Avid Reader (Groton, Connecticut) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased both the Boynton Family Calendar and this calendar last year and used them simultaneously. I really felt the Boynton calendar was much better in terms of execution and space. This Plan it Plus calendar was just too small. If I needed to write more than one appointment on a given day, it would not fit in the little square and made the calendar look very messy. The only thing I really liked was the magnetic strip at the top so that it could be hung from the Fridge which the Boynton calendar doesn't have. Other than that, I would not recommend this calendar to any families who have more than one child. I am curious though about the super size version which has recently come out. I already purchased the 2009 Boynton calendar and am seriously considering purchasing the Plan It Plus super size 2009 version and compare them again. Then maybe write a review on each next year.
Too little room for writing November 7, 2008 T. McFadden (APO, AE United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Decided to try a new calendar this year and now wish I hadn't. The squares are far too small. I like to write the when and where of any appointment and there just isn't room to do this for more than one person on a given day. I see there is a super-size version coming. If you can wait that may be a better option, if not I recommend the More Time Moms calendar. It is not nearly as colorful but there are large squares with plenty of room to write.
Ok for families with one appt per day October 13, 2008 Mom of 3 (Walnut Creek, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this to replace Mom's Family calendar by Sandra Boyton, what a mistake! br / br /We often have more than one event per person per day, and the boxes are 1/2 the size of the old calendar, so there is not enough room to write anything about the appointment or meeting. With a busy family, this will just not work! br / br /I am going to give this away to someone else.
I used to buy Boynton's--now we use this because of the std format October 1, 2008 J Duif Calvin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have 3 kids and a lot of activities to keep track of. I used to use the Boynton's family calendar, which was a great idea, with one column for each family member. However, it's really large and has a vertical format with just one day per row. It always felt a little awkward. br / br /A couple of years ago we switched to this one. This one uses a standard horizontal format (one week per row), and fits on our refrigerator. (I've never had a magnet problem, so maybe the other reviewer just got a bad copy.) br / br /We've been really happy with it. I like the artwork on the Boynton one a little better, but this format just works much better for our family.
