Very Practical October 24, 2008 Ryan K. Bleck (Phoenix, AZ USA) Stewart does a great job of compiling essays, chapters, and various works from a great number of scholars to create a very practical interpersonal communication book. Since each section is composed by a different person, the information does contradict... which any communication student should be used to. While the book is composed on a very practical level, Stewart does not seem to risk diving to the depths of communication theory that are possible. br /Overall, many of the authors tend to write in a technique-oriented manner. Great for a learning technician - not as much for the learning engineer.

Wonderful and insightful book about communicating with others in various situations. If you want to learn more about how to communicate better, why we communicate the way we do, and the various ways we communicate with different people, in different situations, and different environments. Read this book and you will learn more about yourself, family, friends, coworkers, and strangers we meet in our daily lives and the meaning behind our communication. Communication = Relationship
