Excellent for learning! August 4, 2008 Bookworm (Michigan) I have been using it for the last decade to improve my english. I am not a native english speaker and just on its own it helped me improve my vocabulary a great deal. Enough to get admission into IIM!
An excellent dictionary! June 29, 2008 Neil (Houston, Texas, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using this dictionary for over twenty years. It explains the words, idioms and phrasal verbs very clearly and concisely with numerous examples. The language is very easy and lucid. It is specially useful for ESL learners. Although it is in British English, the dictionary is also very useful for other varieties of English such as American, Indian, Australian etc. In a nutshell, it is an excellent tool. The price is also very reasonable.

Excellent Tool May 7, 2008 L. Gibbons (Los Gatos, CA United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My friend bought this dictionary, and I quickly followed suit. It gives concise definitions that are easy to understand, and it's the right size for my nightstand (not too big, but big enough to have a huge # of words). My friend said the CD is great, too, but I haven't used it yet.
