Great way to expand your mind May 23, 2008 Maritsa Darmandzhyan (Tujunga, CA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The CD-ROM version seems to have gotten poor reviews, but never mind that. This is an excellent book to build and expand your vocabulary. It's not written like a dictionary which makes the writing kind of fun.

improving your vocabulary? September 9, 2007 elisahhh! (los angeles) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This vocabulary book is designed to teach the 'learning of language' + improve your vocabulary by understanding the origins of each root. very effective and useful in memorizing/expanding your vocabulary skills. there are quizzes every 8 words or so, which makes it easier to memorize. instead of just building your vocab. in alphabetical order, try learning by roots.
