Product Description When it comes to writing deftly layered, tightly coiled novels of suspense, #1 iNew York Times/i bestselling author Jonathan Kellerman reigns supreme as #8220;master of the psychological thriller#8221; (iPeople/i). Now, Kellerman has worked his magic again in this chilling new masterpiece.brbrThe anonymous caller has an ominous tone and an unnerving message about something #8220;real dead . . . buried in your marsh.#8221; The eco-volunteer on the other end of the phone thinks it#8217;s a prank, but when a young woman#8217;s body turns up in L.A.#8217;s Bird Marsh preserve no one#8217;s laughing. And when the bones of more victims surface, homicide detective Milo Sturgis realizes the city#8217;s under siege to an insidious killer. Milo#8217;s first move: calling in psychologist Alex Delaware. brbrThe murdered women are prostitutes#8211;except the most recent victim; a brilliant young musician from the East Coast, employed by a wealthy family to tutor a musical prodigy, Selena Bass seems out of place in the marsh#8217;s grim tableau. brbrConveniently#8211;perhaps ominously#8211;Selena#8217;s blueblood employers are nowhere to be found, and their estate#8217;s jittery caretaker raises hackles. But Milo#8217;s instincts and Alex#8217;s insight are too well-honed to settle for easy answers, even given the dark secrets in this troubled man#8217;s past. Their investigation unearths disturbing layers#8211;about victims, potential victims, and suspects alike#8211;plunging even deeper into the murky marsh#8217;s enigmatic depths.brbrBizarre details of the crimes suggest a devilish serial killer prowling L.A.#8217;s gritty streets. But when a new murder deviates from the pattern, derailing a possible profile, Alex and Milo must look beyond the suspicion of madness and consider an even more sinister mind at work. Answers don#8217;t come easy, but the darkest of drives and desires may fuel the most devious of foes.brbrbBones/b is classic Kellerman#8211;relentlessly peeling back the skin and psyches of its characters and revealing the shadows and sins of the souls beneath. With jolt after jolt of galvanizing suspense, it drives the reader through its twists and turns toward a climax as satisfying as it is shattering.

Surprised January 9, 2009 Claude Deer (Flippen, GA USA) I did't realize and it wasn't in the description that it was a book club edition.
Another Winner December 21, 2008 Patrick M. McElroy (Leimen-St. Ilgen, Germany) Jonathan Kellerman continues to create fascinating work and Bones is no exception. The introduction of new, interesting characters was refreshing, and plot development in Bones was, as usual, complex and compelling. John Rubinstein is superb in his rendition of the book. He seems idealy sutied to bring out the best in each character. I look forward with great anticipation to more adventures with Alex and Milo.
Kellerman has another best seller December 6, 2008 Amazon.com Believer (Kingsort,TN USA) Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Deleware series has been spot on since the get go. This latest novel is no exception. Page turner from beginning to end, Bones, is one of his best.
Bones December 2, 2008 M. Clontz Jonathan Kellerman fans will enjoy this book. Packed full of twist and turns, suspense and new characters to enjoy. I'm a die hard Delaware fan and this book takes you on a different kind of adventure with Alex and Milo. A must read for every Kellerman fan!
Great reading December 1, 2008 Dianna L. Busse (Indiana) As in all of Kellerman's books, I find myself reading this much too fast, just because the story is incredible. I would like to either slow down, or ask Mr. Kellerman to make his books longer.
