FAR OUT!!! November 3, 2008 This book is really far out and although its hard to imagine that our universe is so complex the book is without a doubt a great read and I would have to say one of the most interesting books I have ever read. IT combines the paranormal with UFOs which is a must if you are interested in strange things. I reccomend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not bad but expected better September 24, 2008 T. P. Askin (U.K.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had high expectations about this book after hearing the author on several talk radio shows as well as the fact that he had previously worked with the late Dr J Allen Hynek among others. Unfortunately the book didn't live up to my expectations. On reflection it's not a bad book but after reading it I didn't feel like I had really gained any further insight into the UFO phenomenon. br /For me the main problem with it is that the author tries to cover too many different aspects of the subject. Because UFOs are such a large and complex subject with many different aspects to it, most of the chapters end up being way too light on detail and evidence and there wasn't a huge amount in the book that I had not read about elsewhere. br /That being said he did a good job of summarizing some of the well known UFO cases, and the chapter on windows into other dimensions and electromagnetisms connection to UFOs was good and featured some interesting cases (see also "UFOs Operation Trojan Horse" by John Keel). br /If you are new to UFOs then this book isn't a bad place to start as it will at least familiarize you with many diverse aspects of the subject, and will hopefully lead you into new avenues of thought. For people who have been researching the subject for some time, I wouldn't think you are likely to learn a lot from the book, that is unless you have just looked at the subject from the "nuts and bolts" perspective in which case this book might open your mind to other possibilities. br /I must also point out that chapter 7 which covers his analysis of the different types of intelligent being that have been encountered, was awful, there was hardly any evidence presented and I thought that despite the authors many years of research it showed a lack of knowledge. In this area I would recommend Graham Hancock's book "Supernatural: Meetings with the Ancient Teachers of Mankind" as well as "Daimonic Reality: A Field Guide to the Otherworld" by Patrick Harpur, and both "Dimensions" and "Confrontations" by Jacques Vallee. br /
Very Entertaining, Thought Provoking Book September 23, 2008 Gabriella Gardner (Port Washington, NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book has everything. It definitely deserves 5 stars. Whether you believe or disbelieve some of the far out theories it presents, no one can deny that this book is fun, exciting, and is hard to put down. I recommend this for anyone with an open mind and curiousity regarding the deep mysteries which surruond us.
Inter Dimensional Universe is a Great Read for anybody open to the unknown September 15, 2008 Golden Hawk (Connecticut, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Phil Imbrgono's latest work Interdimensional Universe is a fascinating account of people who have had interdimensional experiences. I have experienced a few of these myself, and reading the book helped me to have a greater understanding of these interedimensional events. I have had the priviledge of interviewing Phil on the radio, and his wisdom and ability to tell his story is just as apparant in his book as it is on the air. I would recommend this book to everyone interested in exploring a scientist's point of view of the many areas we would reference as the unknown.
Normal has no default setting September 13, 2008 T. Taylor (Hudson Valley, NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Imbrogno's new book is a very welcome contribution to the never-ending dialogue about UFO's and the paranormal. It surprised me in several ways. First, Imbrogno is by reflex a scientist. Unlike the many "researchers" who never met a theory they didn't like, he has a skeptical tone, a need whenever possible to confirm. He is not dismissive of reports just because they are not easily verified or of ideas that are at first sight counter-intuitive. (After all, can we expect the paranormal to behave normally?)Instead, Imbrogno understands that a key feature of the good scientist is his openness to the new. br /Interdimensional Universe is also surprising on another level - it's fun to read. Imbrogno is a graceful writer; he is able to be clear without condescending and personal without becoming self-absorbed. All in all, highly recommended.
