Product Description Armed with cutting-edge techniques, biochemists have unwittingly uncovered startling molecular features inside the cell that compel only one possible conclusion--a supernatural agent must be responsible for life. Destined to be a landmark apologetic work, The Cell's Design explores the full scientific and theological impact of these discoveries. Instead of focusing on the inability of natural processes to generate life's chemical systems (as nearly all apologetics works do), Fazale Rana makes a positive case for life's supernatural basis by highlighting the many biochemical features that reflect the Creator's hallmark signature. P This breakthrough work extends the case for design beyond irreducible complexity. These never-before-discussed evidences for design will evoke awe and amazement at God's creative majesty in the remarkable elegance of the cell's chemistry.

Eye-opener October 18, 2008 D. Erickson (Anacortes, WA USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
The argument in this book, much more persuasive than the "God of the gaps" argument, is that the precision exhibited by the cell definitely proves the existence of God. I would not say "definitely proves," since people with an agnostic or atheistic bent will still be able to argue that complex things can simply "happen" when infinite chance is involved. No matter how much evidence along this line, it will never be conclusive enough to constitute "scientific proof" in the customary meaning of that term. So human beings will be left with a choice that is equally "scientific" or "unscientific" either way: to be comforted by a universe full of meaningful complexity that speaks of God, or to live, quite unnecessarily, with deadly lack of meaning, like little specks that will soon be gone without a remaining trace. This book contains many details difficult for ordinary people to understand, but I treasure it nevertheless, because, in my view, it is full of evidence of divine intelligence.
Insightful examination of cells September 13, 2008 Dr. Tom English (Carlsbad, CA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Dr Rana's book provides a very insightful examination of the mechanisms of the cell. If it were available sooner, it would have saved me a considerable amount of work in preparing a DNA lecture at Palomar College. br / br /Dr. Tom English br /Adjunct Professor
Absolutely Incredible!! August 31, 2008 Baron of Locksley (Aldie, VA USA) 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
One of the most amazing books I have ever read! This is the kind of stuff you will NEVER see in the mainstream media. Dr. Rana provides SOLID biochemical evidence that absolutely invalidates ANY attempt to explain the origin of life in random, undirected, materialistic terms. Employing extensive empirical data, Dr. Rana neither speculates nor hypothesizes in dismantling naturalistic explanations for the incredibly complex biomolecular machinery that we find at the subcellular level. I strongly recommend this book as a companion to Dr. Michael Behe's "Darwin's Black Box" for any reader who is objective and intellectually honest enough to approach this topic with an open mind. - John Donahue, BA, History and Philosophy of Science, Princeton University
Informative! August 14, 2008 Clint Field (Lexington, KY) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
br /Dr. Rana is an expert in his field and his ability to give an unbiased examination of the facts provides clarity for those unconvinced by the evolutionary viewpoint. Those who are assuming that a "God of gaps" approach dominates the book will be dissapointed; facts and the latest research build the case simply and elegantly that life is no accident. The Cell's Design doesn't force feed the reader into a conclusion however and readers may walk away either agreeing or disagreeing with the idea of a Creator. This is the beauty of the book and readers can be guaranteed that there is no slight of hand with details and data. br / br /The Cell's Design won't disappoint the ID fan and it may even gain the respect of the devout Darwinist. The tone of the book is generous and has the potential to generate conversation between all sides in this debate. So whether you are an amateur enthusiast of science and the ID debate or you are looking for the latest material to engage, this book will provide you with much to think about. br / br /
A most excellent book! August 10, 2008 Edward S. Ewert 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book is exactly what I had been looking for: a book that explains the many incredibly complex features that exist inside a single cell. br / br /It can be a bit of a tough slog getting through it if biology is merely a side interest, but its doable and very worthwhile.
