Product Description My name is different every month -- Brandy, Honey, Amy-sometimes Joe doesn't even bother to ask -- but he never fails to arouse me with his body, his mouth, his touch, no matter what I'm called or where he picks me up. The sex is always amazing, always leaves me itching for more in those long weeks until I see him again. PMy real name is Sadie, and once a month over lunch Joe tells me about his latest conquest. But what Joe doesn't know is that, in my mind, I'm the star of every X-rated one-night stand he has revealed to me, or that I'm practically obsessed with our imaginary sex life. I know it's wrong. I know my husband wouldn't understand. But I can't stop. Not yet.

Surprising Depth-SPOILERS November 20, 2008 A. Reece (California) Wow. This book was bought with the intention of escape but I found myself transported into a depressing world of conflict and challenges. I wouldn't have bought this book had I known more about it although I am glad I did. I do not consider this book erotica although there are many arousing scenes. I found it to be more a book about relationships and the challenges people face as life takes its twist and turns. I did think it was convenient for erotica/romance sake that her husband dies in the end. I felt a bit manipulated after struggling with Sadie for the entire book on how to make this marriage work and would they even be together if Adam were healthy but I was so happy it didn't end on a totally depressing note I didn't seem to care. I found it difficult to be aroused when I was crying for half the book. I would have liked to know more about Joe's motives even while in a relationship with another woman. Was he always waiting for Sadie? Overall I was very impressed with the depth of feeling this book evoked in me and how it seems to linger long after the last page. Megan is a definite talent and I look forward to reading more of her books although I will approach them with more respect than some trashy throw away.
Broken November 15, 2008 The Sassy One (USA) I have to say this book was one of the best stories I have ever read. It's a read and share with your friends sort of book. As, a woman I could relate with all the emotions this girl was having. Do I ? Don't I ? Should I ? Shouldn't I ? We all have thoughts, but do we act on them ? Yes or NO ?
Megan delivers again... November 14, 2008 Charmarie (California) I am new to Megan Hart however after reading "Dirty" I knew there was something in store for "Broken", it's a book to not be digested lightly. Sadie is a therapist who is married to Adam a very talented poet/writer who is a quadriplegic. Sadie and Adam go through tough times obviously but the lack of physical intimacy wears on the relationship although words about it are rarely spoken. The story gets even more twisted when Joe and Sadie meet every first Friday of the month to have lunch as Sadie listens to stories of Joe's sexual conquests. It's inevitable that Sadie want to be one of them however does she get her wish? br / br /The story was at times difficult for me to read because I think in some fashion we've all been in a situation where we would have rather not been and I can definitely relate. The book was well written and was a stellar visual and emotional journey. br / br /If you read "Dirty" you'll realize three characters re-appear however briefly, and will answer the question as to "Well what happened to them?". br / br /I can't wait for "Stranger" in January 09.
not romantic November 7, 2008 IronGarden (Syracuse, NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Joe and Sadie meet once a month for lunch were Joe tells his latest tale of seduction. Sadie relishes these meetings because she's dealing with the grim reality of a husband at home who has become a quadriplegic. br / br /If you read these type of novels for an escape, don't choose this book. It depressed the heck out of me. Half the story was about Joe's mindless sex which was not romantic at all. The other half was about the grim reality of being trapped in a marriage with major problems. br / br /The books "payoff" at the end was abrupt and I couldn't find any romance. It was well written but I didn't enjoy it.
LOVE IT! October 22, 2008 Mageda Begum (FL) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
**WARNING SPOILER*I absolutely LOVED Broken. I cried my eyes out when Adam died. I really wanted Sadie to end with Adam but then again I wanted her to end up with Joe too. I have to say though that I was really disappointed with the ending because I want some kind of love declaration from Joe since all through out book he is with different woman and we never get to see how he was feeling/thinking about Sadie. Although when he said that all those stories he told and how he image it was Sadie was so sweet. I hope Megan Hart writes a squeal or short about them.
