Product Description The second book in an ongoing series from the seminal West Coast art and culture magazine, Juxtapoz Tattoo focuses on a subject very dear to the inked hearts of its readers. Most of the featured artists came up at the beginning of Tattoo s modern renaissance in the mid 1990 s, hungry for a new approach, but steeped nonetheless in the traditions of their craft. Whether these gifted tattooists are creating a modern twist on a classic archetype, or pushing the boundaries of the future primitives aesthetic, innovation is the common goal. Featured tattooists include; Troy Penning, Alex McWatt, Brian Randolph and Chris O Donnell of New York Adorned, Scott Campbell, Daniel Trocchio, Steve Boltz, Bert Krak, Henry Lewis, Joseph Ari Aloi, Jason Schroder, Eli Quinters and more.

Your next! October 21, 2008 Albert schweitzer (florida) This is a great book filled with some great tattoo artists! Use for inspiration (and for what you don't want too) or to just to appreciate the fine art of tattoo. It is filled with some of the funniest, wackiest, and why in the world would anyone put that on their body, and yikes! i would hate to be the artist that had to tattoo that there - kind of tattoos. Also you meet some of the most talented artists in the nation with a short blurb about them... Don't need much info though about them, their art speaks for them.
a good tattoo book for a cursory knowledge of the different styles and tattoo types September 29, 2008 S. Mukhopadhyay (Tempe, AZ USA) i didn't like some of the styles that they featured, but that is a matter of pure opinion, the pics are nice and the little artist bios are succint and to the point, it is amazing how differently people arrive to creating this living art
Excellent! September 17, 2008 C. Guida (GVA, Switzerland) Perfect size book, very nice pictures and good tattoo artists presentations. br /Very good initiative from Juxtapoz magazine. br /Has to be purchased with the Illustration one. br /Can't wait the following to complete the collection.
Hmmm August 16, 2008 M. Hoare (Australia) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is okay if your after picture after picture of tattoo's already on people's bodies. But If your a Juxtapoz lover its a little disapointing. br /Coming from a magazine that blows your mind with increadable art and artists and going off their tattoo specials this book isn't all you would expect it to be, It has beautiful tattoo's and some of the best tattoo artists of today, But being Juxtapoz I expect a little more....
Good book about modern day tattoo art July 19, 2008 Menno 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
From the front cover to the back and everywhere in between, this book is well illustrated with many page size photo's of high quality. Even though in good tattoo magazines you might find some similar photos - and even better - this book offers an overview of today's tattoo art, in different styles, by some of the USA's more or even most talented tattoo artists.
