Product Description
DIVDIVWhy should you care about Israel? With the war in Iraq, possible engagement in Iran, and an imminent presidential election, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and the issue of solidarity with Israel remain important. /DIVDIV /DIVDIVIn ITwo Nations Under God/I, American missionary Tom Doyle presents even greater reasons why the U.S. should show concern for Israel. Part one, #8220;Why Should America Care?#8221; is a biblical and historical primer on Israel with fascinating insights into connections between American and Middle East culture. Part two, #8220;Sorting Out the Middle East Maze,#8221; presents more facts about Islam and the spiritual roots behind the Middle East conflicts. Part three, #8220;Maximizing the Moment,#8221; is a call to action and prayer for the A merican church regarding the future of Israel. /DIVDIV /DIVDIVBest of all, readers will learn throughout that, despite the headlines, there is plenty of good news coming from the Middle East. Doyle reports on the increasing number of Muslims converting to Christianity, profiles local disciples and church planters, and provides helpful timelines, comparison charts, photographs, and more to keep every detail concerning Israel in perspective.BRBRBEndorsements:BR/BBRDIV"Chaos. Carnage. Confusion. For many, that#8217;s the modern Middle East. But Tom Doyle gets it. Better yet, he can really explain it. With a pastor#8217;s heart, he clearly and concisely describes why God loves the Jews of Israel and her Muslim neighbors, and why we should, too. What#8217;s more, Tom reveals how powerfully God is moving in the modern Middle East, and how we can join Him. ITwo Nations under God/I is a must read#8212;fascinating, insightful, and deeply thought-provoking. Get one for yourself, and another for your pastor."BRBRBJoel C. Rosenberg/B, New York Times best-selling author of IEpicenter: Why the Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future/I/DIV/DIV/DIV

5 out of 5 stars Almighty God shows His sovereignty in the chaotic Middle East.   November 4, 2008
Linda D. Cannon (DALLAS,TX USA)
This book gives a good history of Israel as a nation, the United States role, both good and bad, in bringing about this prophetic event. It also tells amazing stories about individuals coming to know Jesus through dreams and visions, the trememdous growth of the underground church in Iran,Iraq, the Gaza strip and the persecution that is leading to even more trememdous growth. God's plan and HIs purposes and His people are unstoppable. Read this and know God never fails to fulfill His promises.

5 out of 5 stars Two Nations Under God   October 31, 2008
Gretchen D. Barker (Seneca, SC)
Very interesting! It provided me with a lot better understanding of Islam and the reason for the constant conflict in the Middle East. The author gives the reader a concise summary of Israel's history as a nation as well as the Jewish people in general. He really gave me much needed insight on the needs of both sides (Israeli Arab) and helped my perspective immensely. Very enlightening book!

1 out of 5 stars One-sided   October 28, 2008

Unfortunately, this is another lop-sided Christian book on loving Israel, or else. Too bad because there is some good stuff in here. But the overall tone is one of fear towards Muslims and blind love towards a state called Israel (NOT the chosen people, those would be "in Christ" as Paul clearly states in Romans and Galatians). Tom I love your heart, but not your eschatology. br /cm

5 out of 5 stars Two NAtions Under God   October 24, 2008
Harrison L. Hays
Wonderfully balanced, biblical presentation of why Israel and the US survive in the midst of chaos and confusion. More importantly, a wonderfully balanced picture of what God is doing through believing Palestinians and Israelis making two 'enemies' into one new 'man'. Highly recommended reading.

5 out of 5 stars The fight for the Beautiful Land explained   October 12, 2008
Glory Boschert
This is an excellent review of the history and future of Israel, the Beautiful Land. I bought the audio book and could feel the authors love for the Land and people of Israel, both Jews and Arabs. Tom Doyle effectively reflects God's own heart for those who dwell in the Holy Land. If you love Israel, and her people, you will love this book! It stirs a desire to pack up your heart and put your feet in the Land. Get your passport ready...
