Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
From sweeping passion to taut suspense, Judith McNaught has entertained millions with a stunning array of emotions in nine dazzling bestsellers. In this beloved classic, "one of the best ever" I(Rendezvous),/I two defiant hearts clash in a furious battle of wills -- in a glorious age of chivalry.PAbducted from her convent school, headstrong Scottish beauty Jennifer Merrick does not easily surrender to Royce Westmoreland, Duke of Claymore. Known as "The Wolf," his very name strikes terror in the hearts of his enemies. But proud Jennifer will have nothing to do with the fierce English warrior who holds her captive, this handsome rogue who taunts her with his blazing arrogance. Boldly she challenges his will...until the night he takes her in his powerful embrace, awakening in her an irresistible hunger. And suddenly Jennifer finds herself ensnared in a bewildering web...a seductive, dangerous trap of pride, passion, loyalty, and overwhelming love.

2 out of 5 stars Not For Me   November 19, 2008
D. Florack (Rochester, NY USA)
It must be me - I can't get into her books. This is the 2nd one I've tried. I put this one aside fairly quickly. I couldn't get past the horse scene - sorry. I guess I'm too much of an animal lover. After struggling through Whitney, My Love, I decided to pass on this one after I read about the horse. It seems she always has to have something disturbing in her books, and I don't care for that. I'm a wimp, I guess.

4 out of 5 stars up and down   November 11, 2008
Nicole M. Moss (u.s.)
*stop right now, this contains slight spoilers* br /I was suprised with this book, at first it started out really good. you could tell she was a very strong willed person, but then near the end of the book i started loosing paitence for her myself. she turned from strong-willed to unrelenting (to say the least),but in the end she redeemed herself and saved me from hating the book. i figured she would redeem herself in the end, or it wouldnt be a romance, but i couldn't help myself feeling bad for "the wolf".

5 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL   November 2, 2008
A. Wakitsch (Chicago)
One of the best books I've read in a long time. Perfectly developed characters you feel attached to, a wonderful story, the best kind of ending.... you will love it!

5 out of 5 stars 1 million stars   October 25, 2008
Chloe (The South, USA)
I absolutely love this book. I ordered it based on Amazon reviews. Thanks guys! I stayed up all night till dawn reading it. I could not put it down, I even dreamt of it. I laughed, I cried, at times I was petrified at what was going to happen next, it took me all over the place. I'm so in love with this story; it's the best romance I've read, thus far. May we all be lucky enough to find our own Royce! Thank you, Judith.

5 out of 5 stars Emotional Rollercoaster   October 20, 2008
Historical Reader
Reading this was like going through an emotional roller coaster...I laughed, I squirmed, I was angry, I cried...The best historical romance written next to Whitney, My love.
