4 out of 5 stars Good.   March 2, 2010
Alberto Garcia (Miami, FL)
PROS: Easy to ensemble, light and good looking. I own two trek mountain bikes, and they fit perfectly on the stand and they don't fall down even if it's windy.

CONS: I wanted to place them in my garage but the stand is too tall and it wouldn't fit, and besides that, my garage has no door and I thought I could secure them to the stand with a chain or something but that wouldn't be of much help since you can easily break it apart.

Good enough for the money though.

4 out of 5 stars Great stand! Poor strap to screw to the wall though   February 7, 2010
Michael McCarry (San Jose, California)
Overall I really like this stand. It holds my mountain bike and road bike in a small apartment, and makes plenty of room! It seems very sturdy and is very easy to get the bikes on and off. The only complaint I have about this product, is that the strap that holds the shelf to the wall is pretty week, and has already started to rip. Living in earthquake country, I made my own pretty quick with plastic rip ties and some screws.

5 out of 5 stars Sleek and functional   December 16, 2009

Great product. Looks sleek, and holds the bikes well. Has an optional wall mount, though I never used it.

4 out of 5 stars Easy to construct, sturdier than it seems   December 16, 2009
T. Master (Washington, DC)
I was looking for a good solution to fit two bikes into our finished basement storage room without putting hooks into the studs. The reviews on this made it seem that it fit the bill, so I ordered away.

The stand was pretty easy to construct - probably about a half a hour worth of effort with pretty simple directions. I put the completed stand on the floor in the carpeted room in the basement. Now, either our floor is slightly slanted (very possible) or the stand is slightly slanted (equally possible)...because when its against the wall, it seems as if it's leaning a bit to one side. However, it doesn't seem to affect its ability to hold bikes, and since it's not on proud display in our living room, I don't really mind.

I have two bikes on it - a mens large framed Specialized Allez on top and a womens hybrid Felt on the bottom. Both are held without issue - completely sturdy.

Now, when it comes to taking the bikes off the rack, I share others concerns with the arms. They just don't *seem* that stable, as they can slide and move (which is a benefit for flexibility)...but the reality is that they ARE stable. I have no reason at all to think that the stand may fall/tip/collapse.

So, the bottom line is that this is a great low-cost solution to get two bikes into the same vertical place, while still looking fairly attractive. Check to see if your floor is level is the display aspect matters to you...

4 out of 5 stars Great Bike Stand   September 29, 2009

The footprint of this bike rack is pretty small-it takes up a minimal amount of floor and wall space considering it holds two bikes. If you bump the bikes when they are mounted, they will wobble, but the bikes are pretty secure and have never fallen off. The more regularly used bike is kept on the bottom, and the top bike is still steady without it. The only issue I had with this product is that the piece of fabric used to mount the rack to the wall is pretty cheap with no rivets, so the screws did not hold the fabric to the rack, they just pulled right through. We just used a similar securing fabric from a piece of Ikea furniture and that did the trick. I'm pleased with the purchase, it was definitely worth the money.
