The Water & Moon Kuan-Yin is one of the most beloved Eastern Goddesses. She is the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Her Name means "Hearer of the Cries of the World." She is the most beloved and revered of the Chinese dieties. Kuan Yin is the Divine Mother we all long for: merciful, tender, compassionate, loving, protecting and wise. She quietly comes to the aid of her children everywhere. Her mantra is 'Om Mani Padme Hum.' (that is, 'Hail the Jewel -or pearl- in the Lotus.') She will watch over you and your family and is a wonderful gift for expectant mothers or those moving into a new home.
This handpainted cold cast resin statue is very finely detailed and stands 15" tall- the photo doesn't do it justice! Muted shades of red, green and blue form her flowing robes - everything accented with gold! Truly a remarkable piece you will treasure. I've carried a lot of pieces in this line, and this is by far the best of the best! It blew me away the first time I saw it! The sculpture is so fine with such a serene look on her face and so many lovely details from bracelets on her delicate wrists, to the finely draped clothing.
