I ordered this and was very excited to have found a trifle bowl with a lid. It is a beautiful piece, however, as I unpacked mine, I noticed one, two, three, four flaws in the glass from bubbles to a small internal crack. How this piece made it through quality control is beyond me. I returned it and did not purchase another.

For the name and price, I was expecting a quality item. Disappointed as glass had 2 imperfections and the lid did not fit the bowl. Returned and went with a pampered chef bowl.

I am sure this is a fabulous trifle dish and I bought it because of the fact that it comes with a cover. However, my dish arrived from Amazon in a million pieces, the replacement arrived in a million pieces, the next replacement arrived in a million pieces. Enough is enough, learn how to package breakable items. Each time the dish was packed into a box that was too large, not well packed and the outside of the box wasn't marked fragile or that it contained glass. I am very very disappointed.

My daughter-in-law had searched all her local stores for a trifle bowl without success so I surprised her with an Amazon.com gift of this bowl. She declared it to be just right and loves it.

This is a gorgeous bowl that would make any dessert look elegant, from the simplest fruit salad to the most complex trifle. I love the added feature of a lid; however, since it is glass against glass, it does need to be secured by other means when transporting.
