5 out of 5 stars Excellent Look Into The Lives Of Celebs! They're Not Just Like Us, But "US Weekly" Will Make You Feel That They Are!!   December 21, 2008
Hunk Golden (US)

"US Weekly" is an excellent magazine when they're not wasting space on "The Hills" and all that fake drama (and no-name "celebs"). It gives the reader a look into the lives of stars. That's basically what people want from it, a guilty pleasure...escapism. What's so-and-so been up to this week while I had a crap week at my job(?) br / br /Of course people love to see celebs go down in flames, hence the # of covers devoted to Britney (or Anna Nicole, Lohan, etc...) during her "breakdown." There's plenty of that here. It's not my thing, but it must be somebody's! br / br /Judging by the most recent reviews, people didn't like the Sarah Palin cover. I didn't much like all the attention she got either. It was a waste. But I immediately re-upped my subscription for a year after that story ran. I also just bought 5 gift subscriptions for friends. (Mags make great gifts...you get something new every week!) br / br /At less than half the price of "People" ("People" is a better mag, but it sells for $116/year..."US" is $52/year), how can you go wrong? You can even get a deal on it now and then through Amazon. Just keep checking. br / br /Love my "US!" br / br /

2 out of 5 stars Credibility is very poor!   November 10, 2008

Earlier in the year, I bought this magazine based upon the cover stories. Right after I purchased the magazine, the cover stories proved to be FAKE. In addition, they copy much of their material from PEOPLE magazine. I recommend you buy PEOPLE instead of this magazine.

1 out of 5 stars Garbage -- shot through with liberal bias   September 23, 2008

The bottom-feeders that publish this crud recently did a hit piece on Sarah Palin consisting entirely of unfounded negative rumors and innuendo. Compare this with their sickly sweet and one-sided coverage of Michelle Obama which came with the title "Why He Loves Her." I used to let my family members bring this rag into the house. No more. This is toxic waste for the brain.

1 out of 5 stars Boycotting Us Weekly   September 17, 2008

This deceitful, wretched company is a disgrace to journalism. It is nothing more than a pawn of the extreme left political machine. br / br /I, for one, am boycotting this company - at least until they publish a front page apology for this shameless attack on Sarah Palin - if not indefinitely.

1 out of 5 stars The Company that Produces US Weekly needs to go out of business   September 16, 2008

I personally do not like 'hit' pieces such as the front page and article about Sarah Palin. I do not like any media that distorts the truth or tells incomplete truth in such a way as to distort the meaning. I do not like any media with a bias. I vote with my feet - I will NOT buy this product, or any other produced by that company. br / br /The only reason it gets even one star is that the review mechanism does not allow me to give it none.
