not for me January 2, 2009 W. Dietrich (Las Vegas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am not sure what I expected but Budget Travel did not do anything for me. My wife and I are in our 30s and have a desire to see the United States and the rest of the world. I was hoping for reviews of resorts and cruise lines and fun trips that were planned out for us. Most of the places reviewed did not interest us and seemed to be geared towards older couples who had time to take weeks off for a vacation. By the end of the year it seemed like the magazine was becoming very predictible. br / br /I did enjoy the tips from other travelers and the prices on the cheapest vacations were nice to browse. My suggestion is to make the magazine more hip or at least have a section on travel for the younger crowd.
Budget Travel International Subscription Flunks December 9, 2008 E. Metzner (Munich, Germany) My one year Budget Travel (international) subscription has just finished and I have received only 5 out of 10 issues. Since only 50% (!) of my subscription actually reached me, Budget Travel actually deserves ZERO stars. br / br /Budget Travel sells international subscriptions, but in reality they are not able to offer this service. In addition, their online "Subscriber Services" do not work correctly to change addresses or report missing issues. br / br /Unfortunately my Budget Travel subscription has been more of a hassle than anything else. I won't be recommending this subscription to anyone!
Hilarious True Stories section July 4, 2008 Meg Andrews (College Park, MD United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In the back of this magazine is a terrific "true stories" section about mis-adventures and lucky situations that occur while traveling. They are laugh-out-loud funny! I love reading them to my kids. The pictures with the stories are priceless such as the chicken that built a nest under a Popeye's Fried Chicken drive-through.
Great magazine June 22, 2008 Disney Teach (Tampa Bay, Florida) What can I say. Budget Travel is a great magazine, but has too many ads. There are many tips and tricks that are discussed in the magazines issues that are important. I would order it again.

I ordered this magazine in January and three months later, I still haven't received the magazine; although my credit card was immediately charged when I placed the order.
