The Division of Real Estate is seeking to revoke the licenses of mortgage brokers Laura Ann Stearnes and Stephen Angelo Benaske, for an alleged mortgage fraud scheme in Denver. The division alleges that Stearnes, while working with an out-of-state client she apparently met through an online dating service, fraudulently redirected the consumer's refinance proceeds of $80,890.

The Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority board has approved participating in a $9.2 million loan to the Tanana Chiefs Conference Inc. of Fairbanks to refinance its debt and obtain money to renovate its commercial buildings.
